Program Performance Evaluation

Program Performance Evaluation is an essential element of development and aid interventions which studies a program’s performance in accordance with the donor/organization’s governance, performance, and accountability rules and guidelines. The aim is to produce credible programmatic evidence for making significant programming decisions to ensure relevance, efficiency, and effectiveness, with the end goal of realizing the desired results.

However, program performance evaluation faces two common challenges:

1 : The data collected is not comprehensive or sufficient

2 : The data collected does not help answer evaluation questions.

That was the bad news; the good news is, program performance evaluations can still be done and are not to be limited to data collected by the program itself. Through careful and expert judgment, a variety of additional data may be collected at a reasonable cost and time to fill any data gap.

Over the years, AACS Consulting’s team has conducted many program performance evaluations, reviews, and assessments in collaboration with client programs/organizations.
