The incumbent will undertake the following responsibilities under the direct supervision of the respective region’s Research and M&E Project Manager

  • Visit the monitoring project sites regularly;
  • Use ODK Collect and/or KoBo form to record qualitative and quantitative monitoring data;
  • Apply various M&E tools, including but not limited to: beneficiary survey, in-depth interviews, direct observation, Focus Group Discussion, etc. to collect qualitative and quantitative data;
  • Design and review of the survey questionnaire and KII questions to ensure it is in alignment with the evaluation objectives;
  • Pilot data collection tools in the field, as required by the supervisor;
  • Conduct regular data collection and assure data quality and timeliness;
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports based on the data collected through site visits;
  • Ensure that implementation of field activities adheres to the project monitoring and evaluation system;
  • Execute any other duties assigned by the supervisor or project management
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Sociology, Political Science, BBA, Economics, Public Administration, or any other related field;
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, data collection, and activities for donor-funded projects;
  • Ability to visit projects outside the city boundaries, including districts and hard-to-reach villages;
  • Ability to use KoBo and ODK tools to record and transfer monitoring data;
  • Computer literate and competent with Microsoft office and other data management systems;
  • Excellent verbal & oral communication and reporting skills;
  • Good verbal and written English, and Dari/Pashtu;
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure, manage time and priorities work to deadlines;
  • Comfortable in planning and delivering multiple activities in a fast-movement workplace; and
  • Must be able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding work-related information and data.
