We are seeking for an experienced and talented Country Partnership and Business Development Manager to join our team. 

Position Purpose/ Summary
The Country Partnership and Business Development Manager is responsible for developing and
implementing strategies to identify and generate new business opportunities in Afghanistan. This role
involves analyzing the organization's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT analysis),
understanding the competitive landscape, and crafting measurable, well-informed short- and long-term
business development action plans. The Country Partnership and Business Development Manager will
lead business development efforts, build partnerships and collaborations, develop proposals and grant
applications, coordinate activities, and ensure the wide dissemination and visibility of the organization's
activities and projects.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
1. Market Analysis and Strategy Development (5%)
Conduct market analysis to identify business opportunities in Afghanistan.
Develop and implement strategies based on SWOT analysis, competitive landscape, and
market trends.
Craft short- and long-term business development action plans aligned with organizational
goals.

In-depth Knowledge of Service Offering (5%):
a. Develop a comprehensive understanding of the organization's offerings and business
interests.
b. Identify viable business opportunities across multiple sectors in Afghanistan.
c. Effectively communicate the organization's brand message to individuals and potential
organizations.

Business Development Leadership (10%):
a. Collaborate closely with the Afghanistan Country Representative for Business
Development to drive growth and revenue.
b. Receive technical advice and support from Vice President of PBDM.
c. Lead business development efforts, coordinating with cross-functional teams.
d. Identifying and cultivating potential leads, prospects, and clients through various channels
such as networking events, trade shows, online platforms, and referrals.

Partnerships, Networks, and Collaborations Development (15%):
a. Identifying potential partners, clients, and donors that align with the organization's mission
and goals.
b. Initiating outreach and establishing communication channels to explore collaboration
opportunities.
c. Build relationships with potential clients, partners, and industry influencers.
d. Attend industry events, participate in online forums, and engage with stakeholders directly.
e. Develop and manage local and international strategic partnerships, networks,
associations, and memberships.
f. Engaging in negotiations with potential partners to finalize agreements, contracts, and
Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs).
g. Ensuring that the terms are mutually beneficial and align with the organization's objectives.

Proposals, Concept Notes, Grants Applications Development (40%):
a. Research potential clients and gain insight into their needs and requirements.
b. Develop proposal staging plans, coordinating with cross-functional teams.
c. Oversee the proposal development process, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and
compliance.
d. Supervise the timely submission of proposals and required documentation.
6. Coordination, Communications, and Collaborations (10%):
a. Coordinate with internal departments to ensure alignment and collaboration.
b. Maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and industry
partners.
c. Collaborate with teams to identify leads, develop new offerings, and ensure smooth
service delivery.
d. Coordinate projects and activities across multiple teams.
7.
Contributions to the Digital Presence (5%):
a. Collaborate with the Afghanistan Country Representative and Marketing and
Communications team.
b. Understand organizational goals and identify partnership and collaboration opportunities.

c. Develop messaging and content for marketing materials, social media, email campaigns,
and blog posts.
d. Ensure wide dissemination and visibility of the organization's activities and projects.
e. Measure and report on the success of dissemination and visibility efforts.
8.
Management, and Document Control (10%):
a. Manage Afghanistan’s Business Development activities.
b. Ensure adherence to established processes and procedures.
c. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to business development
activities.
d. Ensure quality control and alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
e. Update the PBDM Master Sheet.
9. Perform other duties as assigned by the line supervisor.

Key Selection Criteria
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (Master's degree
preferred).
Extra partnership and business development courses will be considered a plus point.

Experience:
3-5 Years of professional experience in successfully managing partnership and business
development activities, preferably in Afghanistan or similar contexts.
