We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team. A Chief Financial Officer (CFO) provides leadership to ensure and enhance organization performance by managing the financial aspects.

The CFO will provide substantive and strategic advice to the AACS Consulting team on risk-intelligent culture and risk management approaches, the Integrated Resources Plan and the Integrated Budget; internal financial planning; and the financial regulatory framework. The following are detailed duties and responsibilities:

AACS Consulting is looking for our next Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), dedicated to transformational leadership and process improvement. This senior leadership position is responsible for advancing the AACS Consulting goals creatively and thoughtfully. We are looking for someone to bring their leadership, expertise, and a spirit of innovation.

The work of the Human Resources (HR) section impacts the lives of all employees of AACS Consulting every day. This position reports to the President and CEO of AACS Consulting and works collaboratively with the entire senior leadership team. As the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), you will lead a team of human resources departments responsible for recruitment, retention, benefits, payroll, employee training, employee relations, diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide overall leadership and guidance by overseeing talent acquisition, career development, succession planning, retention, training, leadership development, employee relations, diversity, equity, inclusion, and benefits.
  • Develop comprehensive strategic recruiting and retention plans.
  • Evaluate current HR processes, including recruiting and hiring, and support for departments during these processes to identify AACS Consulting system improvement opportunities.
  • The Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) will work with AACS Consulting's leadership team to establish a sound management succession plan.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in human resources, talent management, and employment law; apply this knowledge to communicate policy, practice, and resource changes to management and employees.
  • Designs and executes strategies to increase organization, team, and individual performance to improve AACS Consulting's business capabilities to deliver against its goals.
  • Leverages Human Resource and business skills and knowledge to challenge or influence leadership in decision-making processes and Participates in developing corporate human resource strategies; champions the vision, mission, and strategic plan.
  • Keeps AACS Consulting leadership team advised on trends, issues, and areas of concern. CHRO will provide the senior management team and leadership with forward-looking, strategic counsel.
  • Role model, champion, and drive the culture transformation and facilitate change management in AACS Consulting.
  • Participates in business strategy and planning meetings, works closely with AACS Consulting leadership team to ensure the application of human resource policies and programs, and works to ensure a positive team member experience.
  • Innovative in keeping ahead and analyzing trends and metrics in partnership with the leadership team to develop solutions, programs, and policies to improve team experience, retention, and development.
  • Monitors the team climate; conducts regular organization assessments to diagnose critical human resource issues; identifies problems and areas of concern; and works proactively and preemptively with management to resolve them.
  • Conducts stay, transfer, and exit interviews and communicates data to ensure issues are addressed with the management team in AACS Consulting. Nevertheless, work closely with management and team members to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provides guidance and training to human resource and administrative teams on human resources and management skills needed to manage the workforce, including selection, coaching, performance management, career development, and disciplinary actions. In addition, SHRO provides guidance and input on AACS Consulting's business unit restructure, realignments, workforce, and succession planning.
  • Works with AACS Consulting program and other departments for staffing and retention needs, including creating and revising job descriptions and assisting with offer terms. Moreover, CHRO manages, facilitates, and resolves complex employee relations issues of varying complexity.
  • SHRO conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations. Advises and counsels AACS Consulting leadership team on employee relations issues and recommended actions and outcomes.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to the day-to-day management of team members, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance in AACS Consulting, and monitors compliance regarding legal and government regulations affecting human resources, health, and safety. Ensures that compliance programs are carried out.
  • Stays abreast of applicable human resources regulations and trends; utilizes this knowledge in day-to-day activities and provides advice on human capital matters in AACS Consulting.
  • Support the performance and talent management cycle by partnering with managers on an as-needed basis to handle succession planning needs and requirements, answer performance questions, issues and processes, supporting and provide guidance on the promotion process, particularly during end-of-year timing.
  • Manage all phases of full-cycle recruiting, from initial sourcing and screening through offer negotiations, placement, and onboarding.

Education: The incumbent should have a BS/BA degree from an accredited college/university; MBA or MA/MS in human resources or related field preferred.

Experience:

  • The candidate should have five (5) years of human resources senior management experience and work with system improvement.
  • Experience applying principles and practices of human resources: recruitment, labor relations, organizational development, and change management.
  • Experience with a full range of supervisory principles and practices, labor relations, and personnel management.
  • Experience with organization-wide policy development, implementation, and evaluation
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, IPMA-CP, or IPMA-SCP certification preferred.

 

Language Requirements:

  • Fluency in Pashto and Dari; working knowledge of English is highly required.
